The North Georgia Classic is a beloved tradition for the MSTA, marking the start of the rally season with a thrilling event. This year, we're excited to return to the picturesque mountain town of Dillard, nestled in the heart of Rabun County. Get ready for three unforgettable days of riding through breathtaking scenery, exploring winding roads or forest trails.
Dillard has a special connection to the MSTA, having successfully hosted not only the North Georgia Classic in recent years, but also our famous Dual Sport gathering. It's welcoming atmosphere and stunning natural beauty make it the perfect backdrop for our season opener.
Whether you're a seasoned rally goer or new to the MSTA, the North Georgia Classic promises an incredible experience. Join us as we celebrate the camaraderie of the riding community and embark on an adventure through the scenic wonders of North Georgia and beyond.
RESERVATIONS WILL BE OPEN ON DECEMBER 1ST!
All participants will be responsible for making individual reservations under the group block. Payment will be made directly to the host venue. Block will be limited to 35 rooms (or until they fill up the motel if we overflow) and available for those who would like to travel in on Thursday night (4/23). The Inn is "no frills" but has hosted us satisfactorily the last three years and is kept clean with the Owners living on the property. We look forward to returning to the Mountain Valley Inn for our fourth year.
This is an MSTA JFF (just for fun) event, there are no fees or costs associated with the rally other than your own expenses. As a JFF event, there are no formal dinners or club meetings. We will utilize the information provided with registration for communications about the event and as a gauge of how many folks we can expect for the informal events and rides. We also send out "Rally Updates" prior to the event to keep you in the loop. We look forward to seeing you in Dillard!
AVAILABLE TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO EVENT
We have curated and compiled some suggested routes for your consideration. Routes are available for download in .GPX format for both Garmin and Non-Garmin devices. We have included both "Street" and "ADV" routes. The page also contains links to interesting stuff along the routes as well various suggested food stops. Ride the route, mix and match segments, or just head out in any direction from the rally HQ and you will find fantastic roads, food and scenery.
SIGN UP FOR A GROUP RIDE!
Looking for a group ride where the leader is ready, capable and has a great ride ready for you? We will have several experienced ride leaders available to lead group rides on Friday and Saturday. The rides will be first come, first served based on the sign-up sheet. Groups will be limited to 5-8 riders and we expect will fill up fast. Click above to check out the rides and sign up.
MSTA FIND A RIDE OR RIDING BUDDIES FORM
One great thing about rallies is meeting up with new and old friends to ride with. Most group rides at MSTA events stay small and typically fill up with likeminded riders. The club has developed a form, with some basic information, in an attempt to connect folks looking to lead, join a ride or just make a new riding buddy. With permission, this information will be printed and available at the venue. Anyone will be able to grab a photo of the list and easily connect. The list will also be available to the organizers prior to the rally and we will attempt to connect folks with ride leaders or small groups.
SATURDAY GROUP DINNER - 6pm to 8pm
This year we will have a catered group dinner at the Valley Cafe, which is located just down and across the street from the event host hotel. It is a relatively short and easy walk but also has plenty of parking if you're too tuckered from they days riding to hoof it over.
7099 Highway 441
Dillard, GA 30537
Dinner will be traditional restaurant style where you can order and pay for whatever you would like from the full restaurant menu. The Cafe offers full liquor bar as well as beer and wine with our dinner. Food is very good and prices are reasonable, we hope to see everyone there.
RALLY CHECK-IN (THURSDAY APRIL 23RD & FRIDAY APRIL 24TH)
Once you arrive at the rally site, we ask that you check-in (preferably come to the MSTA table in/near the lobby). If we are out riding or you come in late or off-hours when no one is around please look for one of the QR code signs around to scan and check-in really quickly, this will report automatically to our registration system. This will help us with communication during the event and keep some sense of how may folks we have out running around.
